REVIEWS
- Hollywoodreporter.com: Peter Dinklage and Shirley MacLaine make an appealing odd couple, they're a joy to watch. But it also has many hilarious moments thanks to Melfi's witty screenplay featuring a plethora of very funny one-liners especially delivered to perfection by the two stars.
- RogerEbert.com: Immensely entertaining. Director Paul Dektor's empathy and heart dwell in the right place for a story ultimately asking the questions of what one needs to be happy, how far we are willing to go to achieve it, and what role does loneliness play in these life-altering decisions?
- Observer.com: Fresh, original, unpredictable and unexpectedly funny.
- ScreenRant.com: Does a tremendous job of exploring one man's American dream, the lengths he must go to achieve it, and what is waiting for him once he reaches that goal.
- Deadline.com: Consistently and wryly funny, powered by Dinklage who shows no vanity in making Phil quite a human disaster as nothing seems to be going right.
- Rogersmovienation.com: There’s just too much fun here to miss. Dinklage wears this role as easily as any he’s taken, and he clicks with Dillon, Glover, Quinn, Pudi and especially MacLaine.
- Theepochtimes.com: An ideal balance of droll, bone-dry, quirky absurdness, some spare pratfall and slapstick, and surprising amounts of authentically touching drama.
