He must unravel the mystery surrounding her death before he suffers the same fate.

REVIEWS

  • Hollywoodreporter.com: If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, David Cronenberg should be feeling pretty chuffed with son Brandon's big-screen debut, a petri dish of high-concept perversity and cultural commentary teeming with lo-fi ickiness.
  • 1nfluxmagazine.com: this unique little gem is very rewarding.
  • 28dayslateranalysis.com: Antiviral is consistently an entertaining viewing experience.
  • Blu-ray.com: a tale with a distinct Cronenbergian fingerprint, generating hypnotic cinema that seduces as much as it repulses.
  • Filmschoolrejects.com: Thoughtful, effectively shocking, well-shot and well-preformed, Antiviral is a formidable introduction to the new Cronenberg.
  • Screendaily.com: Cronenberg junior does exercise impressive control over the film's airless cyberhorror atmosphere.
  • Variety.com: With its flat, detached tone and fixed camera setups, the pic consistently opts for grisly dark comedy over horror-thriller tension, a strategy that does pay off with a certain gruesome logic in the film's nightmarish final image.
