SYNOPSIS
In de laatste dagen van WOII krijgt een groepje Russische soldaten onder leiding van inlichtingenofficier Brana Vasilyeva een rechtstreeks bevel van Stalin: een mysterieuze kist van Berlijn naar Rusland brengen. Onderweg worden ze belaagd door Duitse 'Werwolf'-partizanen en groeit het historische besef van hun missie.
Hoewel Burial een fictieve thriller is over het eeuwige enigma rond Hitlers dood en begraafplaats, is de film wel degelijk stevig verankerd in historische feiten. Daarnaast verkent Burial ideeën die in ons tijdperk van fake news en desinformatie meer dan ooit relevant zijn.
