In het door meth geteisterde Colt Lake wordt een moord gepleegd die alles verandert. Hulpsheriff Sam Evans moet de zaak leiden, maar niemand neemt hem nog serieus. Tot Bobby Gaines arriveert, een charismatische undercover agent die meteen als redder wordt omarmd. • Kenkenreviews.com: Bad Man is a ridiculously fun watch. It’s the kind of movie that delivers the laughs you expect, but also throws in a few punches (literally and narratively) that remind you it’s more than just a buddy cop comedy.
• Searchmytrash.com: Feels quite fresh, thanks to a healthy infusion of comedy (but not on the spoofy side of things), a script that reverts genre expectations, and includes social commentary about small town life on the side. And a subtle yet well-paced directorial effort as well as a solid cast playing well-drawn characters only help make this a great piece of genre entertainment.
• Ukfilmreview.co.uk: a powerful fable about the ethical dilemma of the modern person trying to navigate a world full of false facts and social uncertainty. The thematic depths are layered only for those looking for them, though, and the rock n’ roll soundtrack keeps the over tone pleasing for fans of action comedy thrillers.

Een keiharde en bloederige film van de makers van Get Out, Split & Insidious.

Evan, leraar en mentor op school, lijkt een keurige huisvader, een echte familieman. Een man met strikte regels. Maar al snel blijkt dat hij op gruwelijke wijze iedereen uit de weg ruimt die niet voldoet aan zijn strikte regels. Alles loopt loopt op rolletjes totdat hij een onschuldige man lijkt te hebben vermoord, diens zoon begint te vermoeden dat zijn leraar er iets mee te maken zou kunnen hebben en Evans vrouw benadert.

• Bloody-disgusting.com: Bloodline is a unique and bloody twist the family man trope, one that implies that the devotion with which we remain loyal to our kin may breed a monster where there was once only good intentions.  A Blood-soaked Homage to De Palma.
• Destroythebrain.com: Violent - borderline "gornographic" - and unapologetic. Seann William Scott delivers an ice-cold chilling performance. Great cinematography and precise direction.
• Popaxiom.com: A very enjoyable midnight movie. If you are a fan of retro horror, this is one you won’t want to miss because it is a ton of campy fun.
• Itsjustmovies.com: a fun-loving flick from Blumhouse.
• Collider.com: Seann William Scott nails the dead-eyed determination of a shark swimming among his prey, which can make him hard root for — especially when his moral compass starts to skew.
• Nofspodcast.com: If it possible to be both a serial slasher and a family man? Bloodline from Blumhouse Productions and director Henry Jacobson sure think so. The film seeks to subvert your expectations of standard slasher fare, to obliterate your comfort zones, and to help you shed your assumptions – starting with the casting. Bloodline’s lead role belongs to Seann William Scott (American Pie), exploring one of the darkest, most disturbed characters he’s ever portrayed. Bloodline is gory because it is confronting. The assaults are visceral. They’re jarring. And frankly – pretty medically accurate.
