Een groep tieners hoort over een dodelijke vloek die rust op een machtige, imposante oude eik. Ze dagen elkaar uit om de boom aan te raken, lachend en grappend over wat ze aannemen dat slechts een oud volksverhaal is. Maar wanneer één van hen verdwijnt en een ander wakker wordt met een uitslag op haar handpalm, precies waar ze de boom aanraakte, beseffen ze dat de vloek angstaanjagend echt is.
