Tijdens een routineklus stuiten loodgieter Don en zijn smetvrezende zoon Sonny op een gruwel uit de diepte: een bloeddorstig wezen dat door de leidingen kruipt en bewoners op beestachtige wijze afslacht. Terwijl de buizen vollopen met bloed, bundelen ze met nachtmanager Patricia de krachten om het monster te stoppen… voordat het de stad vergiftigt.
