In een afgesloten vleugel van een ziekenhuis moet agente Frances Jane de wacht houden bij een uitzonderlijke patiënt. Cordero raakte eerder die dag gewond bij een mislukte juwelendiefstal waarbij zijn partner omkwam. Maar pleegde hij ook de moord? Terwijl de vastgeketende Cordero haar vertrouwen probeert te winnen met mooie praatjes, infiltreert zijn opdrachtgever Louis Holland het ziekenhuis om de buit op te eisen en Cordero het zwijgen op te leggen. Nadat Frances op gruwelijke wijze te grazen wordt genomen door de meedogenloze Holland moet ze noodgedwongen samenwerken met Cordero om de bloederige nacht te overleven...
Reviews- Fearnet.com: There's always something to be said for a quick and efficient crime thriller that introduces its characters and premise in an efficient manner, and then keeps throwing you bloody curve balls before jolting to a finish in less than 90 minutes. Cold Blooded is shot quite well, scored quite smoothly, and (especially) cut like a fast-paced dream. The cast is uniformly strong, the premise has a nice hook, and things actually get pretty dark and nasty before all is said and done. Fun stuff.

Every edit and line of dialogue have a purpose: not for nothing do I compare Cold Blooded to early Carpenter, who never let plot get in the way of the story.
- Agentsofgeek.com: Lapeyre has done a remarkable job staying creative with his budget limitations and giving us interesting seedy characters that wouldn’t seem out of place in an Elmore Leonard novel. Cold Blooded cuts straight to the point and we’re in and out before we know what hit us. We are left with a fun tension filled action movie that’s not interested in being deep or philosophical but delivering some entertainment. In that retrospect, I can tell you that we get exactly what we were promised.

Hoe moet dat nou weer, seks waneer er kinderen zijn? Kan het nog? Mag het al? Willen we wel?
Een pasgetrouwd stel probeert het uurrooster van hun kersverse baby af te stemmen op de pieken en dalen van hun libido's. Een gereserveerde single moeder krijgt van haar broer te horen dat ze zich wat meer buiten de deur moet wagen. Een lesbisch koppel ontdekt dat hun pedagogische principes mijlenver uiteen liggen. Een alleenstaande vader raakt uitgekeken op onenightstands. Twee vijftigers staren naar hun lege nest en gaan op zoek naar de vonk die hen ooit samenbracht. En de vrouw van een ambitieus echtpaar dat bewust kinderloos bleef, voelt plots de aandrang om voetbalmoeder te worden. Hun relaties en idealen worden danig op de proef gesteld: is het mogelijk om én kinderen én een seksleven te hebben? En loont het wel de moeite?
Grappig, ontroerend, écht. Deze indringende, raak geobserveerde ensemblecomedy legt de vinger op de pols van een aantal relaties en stelt vast dat iedereen hetzelfde wil, op een andere manier.
