Conrad Miller, (Luke Goss) is an AWOL military officer who has been accused of selling secrets to ex KGB during the cold war. When Miller realizes he has been tracked by his counterpart hit man Myron, (Bokeem Woodbine) Miller knows his love, and his compromise has been threatened, and he does the only thing humanly possible. RUN.

The Soviets enlist the services of Detective Adams (Rza) to aid them in the local hunt to track down Miller by any means necessary. Miller has 72 hours to make his rendezvous point and get out of the country with his love and the only secrets that will keep him alive.

• Cooltarget.blogspot.co.uk: AWOL-72 is stylishly shot, Luke Goss makes for a commanding leading man (let's get him in a big budget action film again!), the final fifteen minutes has some nicely staged gunplay and hand-to-hand fights (there should have been more of this), the supporting cast of familiar faces is a welcome touch and, well, Sesma certainly fills the running time with a plethora of beautiful women.

Halloween approaches. They know they’ve got to celebrate properly. An isolated farmhouse out in the country, an older couple living alone. Retired, no family nearby. It’s perfect.
All goes according to plan until one of their preys gets ahold of a gun, and uses it, throwing their carefully staged operation into chaos. 

• Horrorcultfilms.co.uk: Very good film, and one that’s sure to be a conversation starter.
• Cultprojections.com: Like a cross between The Strangers and The Craft this murderous thriller does a great job at taking a far-fetched premise and running with it, providing solid, believable performances, and some genuinely suspenseful scenes, with a third act that ups the crazy ante. These kinds of teenagers-run-amuck thrillers are a dime a dozen, but Extracurricular is a cut well-above.
• Darkeyesoflondon.blogspot.com: But it's good to see a post modern horror movie that doesn't play it for laughs or irony, and the moral dilemma running through Extracurricular is persuasive enough, even if one does ending up rooting for the killers and then feeling slightly dirty about it afterwards.
• Diaboliquemagazine.com: Director Ray Xue shows a strong flair for helming thrilling action sequences and gets solid performances out of his game cast.
• Entertainment-focus.com: An undeniably chilling watch.
• Eyeforfilm.co.uk: It's fast paced, witty and sometimes sexy, a seductive package with a deceptively smart core.
• Filmschoolrejects.com: Extracurricular is a fittingly mean-spirited little movie that refuses to soften the edges of its youthful killers and instead doubles down on their particular brand of nihilism.
• Therottingzombie.co.uk: I expected Extracurricular to be a typical teen slasher even with the shift in perspective. I wasn't prepared for just how involved I would get into the story, and the second half especially was a particularly enjoyable and thrilling watch.
• Wickedhorror.com: Dark, funny, thrilling, and loaded with YA menace, this is a refreshingly modern take on typical slasher tropes.

• Moviesinfocus.com: A fun night at the movies, Paydirt is an entertaining diversion with a game cast. Christian Sesma’s movie features solid acting, a sparkling script along side snappy score and visuals. 
• Worlsfimgeek.com: Paydirt is quite a wild ride with Luke Goss on the verge of retirement with Val Kilmer on the verge of redemption, no matter what it could cost both of them. If you get confused a bit with the twists and turns, wait until the last few minutes where everything is explained. Then, you’ll see why this is a fun and wild ride of a movie.
